BT Joe's Field Hunts offer Pheasant, Chukar, Hungarian Partridge and Tennessee Red Quail.  All ages are welcome and a preserve or small game license is required. Proper etiquette around firearms is strongly enforced.

We have a habitat field planted exclusively for the hunting grounds including corn, Japanese millet, dwarf sorghum, and foliage sorghum. Paths are regularly mowed for easy walking.

Aproximately 5,000 birds are raised at out preserve
in flight pens to assure that they fly well. In the summer
of 2007 a new quail facility was established to expand
our Quail population.

All field hunts are done by appointment only

Each hunt is 4 hours of field time with a 4 Bird minimum per hunter. (We do not have a membership fee, we would greatly appreciate the 4 bird minimum per hunter rule be respected). You are welcome to bring your own dog or hire a Guide and dogs at $20.00 an hour.

Unfortunately Lexy, Rexina and Mushu have retired, if a Guide and dog are needed please book your hunt at least two weeks in advance so we may schedule a guide and dog for you.

*Ring neck Pheasant- 50/50 mix $16.00 each

  *Rooster Pheasants $19.00 each
  *Chukar   $10.00 each
  *Tennessee Red Quail   $8.00 each

Pheasants work well for experienced bird hunting dogs. We do not recommend them for beginners due to their spurs. If a new dog gets poked too many times with the pheasants spurs they will become hesitant to fetch the bird. We recommend Tennessee Red Quail for beginners. They are smaller therefore easy to pick up, they fly well and are fun to hunt for both the dog and hunter. This is also a good way to get an experienced dog brushed up for the Grouse Season up north.

Dog consulting is available to help you get your dog in top performance for the field.
